This notice applies to the public Faust website available at faustplatform.com and to the demo request form published on that website. It does not govern the use of the protected Faust application by customers or invited users, which is handled through separate contractual and privacy documentation.

2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with the public website, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Demo request information: name, email address, company name, company size, and any message you submit through the demo form.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, and other signals generated when the website is accessed or when Cloudflare Turnstile verifies that a submission is not automated.
- Website usage data: page views, referring pages, approximate location, device class, and similar aggregated traffic metrics processed through Vercel Web Analytics.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:
- To respond to demo requests and follow up on pre-sales conversations. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To operate, protect, and troubleshoot the public website and demo form, including abuse prevention and security monitoring. Legal basis: legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To measure aggregate website traffic and performance through privacy-oriented analytics. Legal basis: legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To comply with legal obligations or defend legal claims. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Whether Data Is Mandatory
Name, email address, and the anti-bot verification required by Cloudflare Turnstile are necessary to send a demo request. Company name, company size, and message are optional, but providing them helps us respond more accurately.
If the required information is not provided, we may be unable to process or safely accept your request.
5. Recipients and Service Providers
We may share personal data with service providers acting on our behalf, including the following categories:
- Vercel, Inc., as hosting and infrastructure provider, and for Vercel Web Analytics on the public website.
- Cloudflare, Inc., as provider of Cloudflare Turnstile used to protect the demo form from spam and automated abuse.
- Resend, Inc., as transactional email provider used to deliver demo request emails to our contact inbox.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or courts, where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
6. International Transfers
Some of our providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms made available by the provider.
7. Retention
- Demo request data is normally retained for up to 12 months from our last meaningful contact, unless a longer retention period is necessary to continue pre-contractual discussions, enter into a business relationship, or comply with legal obligations.
- Technical and security logs are retained for the time strictly necessary to ensure website integrity, investigate incidents, or meet legal requirements, and normally for no longer than 12 months unless a longer period is justified by a specific incident.
- Aggregated analytics information may be retained in aggregate form in accordance with the relevant provider's retention policies.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability, depending on the circumstances.
